CONNECTED CHILD HEALTH

Physical and Mental Health for Young People

WELCOME

I am Dr Rory Conn, a consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist working in Exeter, Devon. I work principally in Liaison Psychiatry – at the interface of physical and mental health. About half of my time is hospital based at the Royal Devon and Exeter in Paediatrics, and half in ‘CAMHS’. I see a small number of patients privately.

I am an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Exeter University Medical School, where I am Undergraduate Lead for Child Psychiatry.

My particular areas of clinical interest include Anxiety and Depression, OCD, Bodily Distress Disorder, ADHD, Tics and Tourette’s, Risk Management & Eating Disorders. I am the National Psychiatric Lead for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Through my website you can learn more about these subjects and also about teaching and training in psychiatry, media representations of mental illness, public education and health policy.

I have gathered key resources for clinicians, patients and families alike.

I was recently interviewed for the Royal College of Psychiatrists about my career. You can read more via this link:
